API Keys

If you choose to enable AI features:

  • Your OpenAI or Google Gemini API key is stored locally using Chrome Extension Storage.
  • Your API key is never transmitted to our servers.
  • Your API key is used only to communicate directly with the AI provider you selected.

Extension Settings

The Extension stores preferences locally, including examples such as:

  • preferred export format
  • image quality settings
  • AI preferences
  • user interface settings

These settings remain on your device unless you remove them or uninstall the Extension.

License Information

If you activate a paid license, the Extension may communicate with Lemon Squeezy to verify your license status.

License verification may include information necessary to validate your purchase, such as:

  • license key
  • activation information

We do not store your payment card information.

2. How We Use Information

Information processed by the Extension is used solely to:

  • Capture screenshots
  • Edit screenshots
  • Export screenshots as PNG, JPG, WebP, or PDF
  • Search text within captured content
  • Provide AI-powered assistance (only when you choose to use AI features)

  • Save your extension preferences

3. AI Features

The Extension offers optional AI functionality.

If you choose to use AI:

  • Your request is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you selected.
  • Supported providers currently include:
    • OpenAI
    • Google Gemini
  • Communication uses your own API key.
  • We do not proxy, monitor, or store your AI conversations.
  • We do not receive your API key or AI requests on our servers.

Please review the privacy policies of your selected AI provider before using these features.

The Extension may communicate with the following third-party services depending on the features you use:

Used for:

  • license validation
  • purchase verification

Screenshots remain only where you choose to save them.

  • Screenshots remain on your device until you delete them.
  • API keys remain stored locally until removed by you or until the Extension is uninstalled.
  • Extension settings remain until cleared or the Extension is removed.
  • We do not retain screenshots or AI requests on our servers.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect locally stored information.

Because API keys are stored locally on your device, you are responsible for protecting access to your browser profile and computer.

9. Your Choices

You may:

  • remove your API keys at any time
  • uninstall the Extension
  • clear locally stored extension data
  • choose not to use AI features
  • use the screenshot functionality without AI

10. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
